Why we started La Pendla
Share
Most bags are designed for a single occasion. We built La Pendla for the whole day.
The idea came from a frustration most people recognise. You leave the house with a work bag. You stuff your gym clothes into a separate tote. Your lunch goes in a third bag. By the time you reach the office you're juggling three things and none of them feels quite right for the situation.
La Pendla started with a simple question: why doesn't one bag just handle all of this?
Designed for real days
Most bags are either functional or stylish. The functional ones look like gym equipment. The stylish ones aren't big enough to hold a laptop and a pair of trainers at the same time. We wanted something that did both without compromise.
That meant thinking carefully about what people actually carry. A 13 to 15-inch laptop. Gym shoes. Lunch. A charger. A water bottle. The bag needed to hold all of that in a way that made sense, with each item in a logical place rather than in a heap at the bottom.
One bag for multiple roles
The people we designed for don't have a single identity during the day. The same person is a professional in a meeting at 10am, at the gym at 12, and picking up children at 5. That person shouldn't have to switch bags, repack, or carry extra totes to manage those transitions.
La Pendla exists because that bag didn't already exist. Not in a way that also looked good and was made to last.
What we focus on
Every product decision at La Pendla comes back to the same test: does this make the day easier? Compartment placement, strap design, material choice, zipper quality. These aren't details we hand off. They're the product.
We also keep the range focused. We'd rather do a small number of bags well than offer a hundred options and hope something sticks. If a La Pendla bag is in your wardrobe, it should be one you reach for every morning without thinking twice.
